Not what i expected!Heres some tips before you purchase!, By bcom (USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Carhartt Men's Midweight Hooded Zip-Front Sweatshirt (Apparel) I just purchased one of these K122 Carhartt sweatshirt jackets and it is very flimsy.I think my t-shirt is thicker than this thing.Carhartt makes too many versions of their hooded sweatshirt jackets to understand what you are buying before you order it unless you are actually able to see and feel the jacket in person.This to me is definitely not "mid-weight".Its more of a very very light weight.I have an older sweatshirt Carhartt jacket that looks like this K122 but is alot heavier and thicker.Thats what i thought i was buying here but its my fault for not looking at what the material is made from on this item. The K122 as you are seeing here is 50% polyester and 50% cotton.This is very flimsy and super light weight.My old Carharrt sweatshirt jacket is 80% cotton and 20% polyester which is a thicker and stronger material.My old hooded sweatshirt jacket must be model number K185 as you can find here on Amazon but since my old sweatshirt jacket is so old,it doesnt have a... Very comffortable. I was going to go with the XXL which is sometimes baggy on me but opted to go with the XL Tall(free shipping lol) I made the right choice it fits perfect. I;m 6'1" 225 Zipper is very well made, as you would expect with a carhartt. Good quality fabric and zipper. For sweatshirt material, I don't consider this a mid-weight jacket. It's definitely a light weight jacket in my opinion. Also, it's a little big on me, but not enough to make me want to return it. Like most clothes that I shop for these days, manufacturers seem to be up-sizing clothing for the sake of peoples vanity (being able to still buy a medium when they really should be buying a large, Large to XL, etc.) So before you buy, make sure you want a light weight sweatshirt jacket, and choose a size down from what you would normally buy. |
