He used to have a different one that didn't work very well and was very loud! This one is much quieter and works really, really well! (I make my own bubble solution so this may have something to do with how well it works.) We love it! It blows millions of bubbles non-stop! The other reviewer is correct though. You really shouldn't move it when there is bubble solution in it and be careful not to over-fill it. If you must move it, don't tip it toward the back, keep it pointed slightly front-down or the bubble solution will spill out of the air intake vents in the back. The handle is really just for carrying your (slippery) bubble machine somewhere for clean-up and storage. She loves bubbles, but I do not always have time to sit and blow bubbles for an hour or so. I purchase this and it is one of her favorite things now. I will say, it is a little noisier than I had hoped, but I believe that this item is designed for outdoor use anyway. Just be careful not to move it until you are ready to dump the bubble solution everywhere. It blows bubbles better than most of these that I have seen, however, the bubble solution pan is very easy to overfill and dump. Some young children just are. My daughter screamed and ran away from it the first time it came on, but she's used to it now. The motor is not that loud really. Much quieter than a hair dryer, for instance. This is a neat toy, especially on a windy day! It works well and produces hundreds of bubbles within seconds, but be prepared to hand over that leftover bottle of bubble solution along with a wand after the "new has worn off" with the bubble machine. And even though she doesn't want to sit and stare at it for long, she does ask for her bubble machine a lot. Just buy regular bubble solution at the store for $1. One 16 oz. bottle lasts about 15 to 20 minutes. The inexpensive stuff works well. |
