I have the larger version of this plastic fuel bottle and wanted a smaller version for use when bicycle camping. I was surprised that instead of following aluminum bottles in downsizing in smaller sizes, Trangia instead made this bottle *thin,* rather than stout - I should have examined the specs in more detail. Not sure how this will work out, as the long shape may not fit in my pack rack. Also, this bottle is more expensive than others on the market (although I give props to the nozzle delivery system). You'll have to decide if it's worth the extra dinero or not.
Update: After using this bottle for a while, I find that it is worth the extra money - especially due to the unique pour spout system: loosen the top nut, press and pour, then tighten to close - works great!

I am writing this review more out of appreciation than anything else.. I am one of those people who loves to know what others think about the products they have bought. So, this is payback time.. And, here is the story. This bottle is cute and somewhat usuable, but it is not perfect and it is way over-priced. It is worth about five dollars and they are charging 18.. Would I recommend that you buy it at the 18 dollar price? NO.. Use something else. Almost any free plastic bottle would do as good.. Many of us who use alcohol stoves use HEET for fuel. So, just stick to using the HEET bottle and forget this thing. And,, Even at 18 dollars, it might be a go, for the rich and famous, but, the thingie on top pours fuel out in places it is not supposed to.. The little red button on top is there to screw in or out to lock and seal the spring-loaded valve that lets the fuel out of the snoots you see on the top.. Why they need two is beyond me, but this thing has two, and when the screw is... Read more

Smart Suds is the first camper's all-purpose soap to receive the US EPA's "Design for the Environment" recognition. Smart Suds was developed to gently clean everything in camp, including dishes, hands and gear and then to rapidly biodegrade through normal soil microbe action. Smart Suds is scent-free to avoid attracting insects or animals.
The very gentle cleaner surrounds dirt particles so they can be carried off in rinse water.
Smart Suds also kills and removes germs.
The formula is very concentrated, requiring only a small amount for each wash. This lightens the camper's load and eliminates excess packaging.
Smart Suds are the only camp soap formula to use the up-to-date "Leave No Trace" instructions favored by the National Park Service.

Planet Bike Beamer 1 and Blinky 3 LED Bicycle Light Set Reviews
This review is from: Planet Bike Beamer 1 and Blinky 3 LED Bicycle Light Set (Sports)
Battery life is good and the whole package seems pretty well-built. My only compliant is that the front headlight is not very bright. It serves to let other people know you're there, but definitely does not sufficiently light up the road in front of you. The rear light works just fine.
For the price, however, I don't think this can be beat. If you're looking for a cheap but usable bike light set, this is the way to go.

I thought this light would suffice for my short ride home from work every night but its has a much more limited scope than I was expecting. If I could do it again, I would have splurged for a bigger light. Works great and has sturdy construction but is definitely the minimum you need for night riding.

Up front, a large disclaimer - I do not own this product, and gave it 3 stars as a 'guessed at' rating.
So why am I writing a review? Well, I thought I'd pass along a very helpful bit of information I received while I debated between this bike light set and a similar, more expensive one from Planet Bike also offered by Amazon. This light set includes the Beamer 1 headlight, while the more expensive one features the 1/2 watt Blaze headlight (also from Planet Bike). In reading the reviews I saw where people had said the Beamer 1 was a bit dim, but that didn't clarify things for me.
What I'd recommend is to go over to the Planet Bike web site and fire up their 'See the Light' feature, [...]. This very helpful web page shows you *exactly* how each of the different products work, and the area they illuminate.
