However, it has to be secured to the ground or it slides all over. We didn't want to drill holes in our driveway, so I found some tent stakes and secured it into the grass at the side of the sidewalk. This way my son can skate or scooter along the sidewalk, up the ramp and land in the grass - much softer landing. I think it is going to take some practice before he actually can get where he can to the trick stage.
