The harness is designed for alpine climbing, that is "light and fast". It has 4 gear loops that can rack what you need in this context. I personally carry 4 quickdraws (at 63 g each), 2 locking carabiners and 4 slings, among other things. It accommodates my belay-rappel device of choice (ATC guide) which doubles as a (crude) ascender and a set of BD nuts. It has a haul loop rated at 12kn, and is the only harness that you can put on while wearing crampons. And all of that at only 400 g.
