Notice the fine print on this one that when it says "canti bosses" it really means "Linear Pull Canti", more commonly known as V-brakes. There is no top cable stop hanger or screw hole to use old-school center-pull cantilever. I'm replacing parts on a mid-90s mountain bike and got this shock because I thought it was compatible with the center-pull canti. I was never expecting this fork to be a rock star...just take the edge off of bumps. Real reviews for mt bike parts can be found at mtbr.

1.0 out of 5 stars PICTURE NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF FORK - SELLER MISREPRESENTS, July 22, 2011

This review is from: RockShox Dart 2 Coil Fork (Black Rim/Disc, 80mm) (Sports)
The PICTURE SHOWN IS NOT THE FORK YOU WILL GET. THESE FORKS ARE EXACTLY LIKE DART 1 FORKS. The only difference is a very small DART 2 label (not on fork leg as pictured). NO LOCK OUT. I HAD AMAZON SEND ME A SECOND FORK thinking it was a mistake. [...]

I used to race biathlons on road bikes way back when, thought I'd give mountain biking a try. Bought a used bike and replaced the fork with this DART 2. With these forks, on the road, you will lose all momentum due to NO LOCK OUT.
I could point out, in the listing, where it is implied that this product possibly does not have a lock out.
If the Seller can't post a correct photo of what they are selling why should I interpret their listing for them.

If someone wants to comment on what the difference between these and a DART 1 I will update my review.

Now the listing is not the Manufactures fault so I will provide a review of these 'DART 2' shocks.

I installed these... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Gets it Done, July 12, 2011

I bought this to replace a 1998 Judy XC. This is the only fork that I could find with the matching axle to crown measurement so my choices were this or nothing. Not many 80mm forks out there. I think this fork is great, especially for the price. I have been riding it about 8 miles a day on moderate MTB trails for 2 months now and no issues. Very little bob in the climbs, but good absorption on the rough stuff. Not too springy at all. I really don't see the point in a more pricey fork.
