The stitching on these products are top notch. On par or better than that armor stuff ;). I wear these as an undershirt underneath long sleeve, upf 30+ button down shirts for extra sun blockage. This is to work in the heat of the outdoors. Any and all things to keep the radiation off of me. I have an athletic build. Big chest, big arms and a little waist. I'm 5'9", 170lbs. I bought the XL, they are just right for me...though a little loose in the torso and waist area, but "whatchagonnado"? Product has a nice and generous cut to the length of it, so you can keep it well tucked...if you're wearing it like me. ;) Please note, this item does create an interesting color shine. It casts an additional purple to it, which I believe is the UV blocking reaction, though not sure. I do find it nice. It is white in flourescent or indoor lighting and you'll notice the purple under heavy UV dosage. This applies to the white and carolina... I bought this shirt to take on a cruise and use when snorkeling. It was great. We had an excursion that was an entire day at the beach. I wanted to be able to snorkel without worrying about getting a sunburn on my back - and the shirt worked like a charm. I got this shirt to wear under my camp staff shirt for a Summer camp I was working at. This shirt is amazing. Feels great when you wear it and looks sharp. I am 5'11 and 165. I got the XL and it was still tight (but not restricting) to my body. I'm really glad I ordered two sizes up. Usually I wear a Large long sleeve because my arm length, but the XL fit well. It dries quickly and doesn't make you uncomfortable or hot in the sun. My reason for not giving it five stars is because it just gets dirty really quickly and doesn't seem to let go of the dirt (but what can you expect working at camp with a white shirt). I wore this shirt for three weeks straight and would rinse it and let it dry. It really is an incredible shirt and well worth the extra 10-12$ you'll pay over a Target or other brand. Made well, fits well, protects from the sun, dries quickly. It also tends to 'connect' to any Velcro so be careful when you wash it and if you're wearing any. I would definitely recommend this...
