5.0 out of 5 stars Watch Review, December 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I recently purchased the Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 241432 Maverick GS Black Dial Watch for a great price of about 58% of retail price. I took it to a local jeweler and had them size the band to fit ($15). The watch looks a lot more expensive and compares in looks to other more expensive watches i.e. Rolex & Tag Heuer. I am very pleased with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Modern Day Mens Watch for Daily Wear, December 27, 2011
By
First, I must admit to specifying this watch on my Wish List and getting it as a Christmas gift from my lovely wife. I had been a big fan of ESQs but one recently let me down so i thought about going upscale (over $1K). This watch is stunning in person and an incredible value!

Let's start with design. It has the more modern large face diameter but not crazy big like some other brands, good thickness but not too big to wear under dress shirt sleeves, and a wide metal band with 3-across link design that gives it an overall pleasing bold look. I have average size arms and hands and was worried that these larger watches would look odd on me, but quite the opposite is true and it looks great on the arm. Yes, it is extremely close in appearance to the Rolex, and with well executed stainless finishes and graphics many will think it is a Rolex. This is a daily watch for me to be worn with dress shirts/suits, as well as casual. The weight of the watch also feels substantial... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 ***** star watch at fraction of the price!, May 14, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This watch is worth far more than the price you can purchase it here for. The average price range of this watch is $340-$608 US on Amazon. I own a number of Tag's, a few Tudor and Rolex time pieces that feel and look much like this one. The touches that Victorinox added such as the anti reflective sapphire crystal and solid stainless body as well as a high gloss finished fitted bezel make this a big time player in class, with style and durability all in mind. It uses a work horse Swiss Quarts movement like many Tags costing over $1500.00 US.

The 43mm size is impressive but not a overly large trendy size that will not stand test of fashion time statements. The lumin is excellent and would only be improved if numbers had been done as well. The chronograph hits all the second indicators spot on as it travels. I truly feel this watch will be over a $1000.00 list US in a few years. It sure is built that way.

I remember paying $600.00 for some of my early Tag's... Read more
