This review is from: My Weigh XL-440 Talking Scale 440lb Bathroom Scale I bought these scales for my father. He is 79 and has severe macular degeneration, so he cannot see much anymore. They work fine for him. The female voice is understandable and loud enough to hear. The speech is at a speed to understand fine. The response time from getting on the scales to when the weight is reported is slower than we expected but is acceptable. The scale works properly and the volume can be heard without difficulty. Accuracy is within.2 of a lb, as compared to more elaborate professional health agency's scale, which it replaced. It looks stylish and is small enough not to be in the way; but large enough to be sturdy and secure to stand on. All-in-all this is an excellent value and a good purchase for anyone who is having trouble seeing an ordinary scale.
