The microwave has broken twice within 1 year for us. 1 month and then 13 months. Our $50 microwave works better than this. The microwave is also underpowered. Customer support is absolutely horrific as well, offering no assistance to troubleshoot the issue. Other products from Thermador have not faired well either.

This oven has been nothing but trouble. We have had it for 3 years and we finally have given up on it and got our extended warranty to pay out. We had the the repair people out about 4 times. They have changed the oven once and the panel twice. Now the panel doesn't even work, which is scary when the oven won't turn off.

I am totally dissatisfied with my Thermador double oven. It has continually had problems (closing, speed cook functions and once we had to completely replace the electric panel). Thankfully I purchased a service warranty but really that is not much help as the various service providers that have come to repair it have to wait sometimes up to 6-months to get the replacement parts! If I could do it again I would buy any other brand but never Thermador!
