The photos truly don't do them justice. I love the 3-way touch controls. The lamps seem very well made and very high quality. My only comment is that the shades look slightly more beige online than they do in real life. My old lamp no longer fit my den's new modern design but as I am now a doctoral student I did not have hundreds to spend to replace it. Not only did this lamp fit the bill price wise but it looks even more expensive than the 'expensive old lamp'. The base fits the Luxor name perfect with its timeless pyramid shape and steel color (which is more gray than in picture). The shade's classic shape would enable this lamp to fit any decor but was extra nice for my new retro lounge/den. The touch on/off was just an added plus. I just love this lamp!!!
