Editorial Review
Seen flying low over the Naboo tundra, the Armored Attack Tank is considered one of the Trade Federation's deadliest assault vehicles. Outfitted with six energy-shell launchers and five laser guns (featuring the impressive primary laser cannon), this tank is built for deadly destruction. The heavily armored hull can be positioned to open up butterfly-wing style, or down in the sleek, aerodynamic style of the movie. Manned by two bendable battle droids carrying binoculars and blasters, the AAT is a must-have for any Star Wars: Episode I battle reenactments. The set contains 158 pieces and a visual instruction booklet. --M. Sullivan

It looks like it has just been taken directly out of the movie. The top part of the set opens to reveal a Battle Droid and storage area for the binoculars included. There is a second Battle Droid Captain at the front for driving the vehicle. The under belly holds two guns and the whole set is riddled with canons and blasters which is really cool. It gives you the feeling that Lego thought about this model. Grab one of you Jar Jar figures and add him to the main cannon for maximum effect. The building is fairly easy and the model can be completed under 10minutes. I can't recommend this set enough. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Bull Durham (United States) - See all my reviews = Durability: This review is from: LEGO Star Wars Trade Federation AAT (7155) (Toy) Finally we have a reasonably priced Star Wars Lego set that you can buy multiples of without having extra pieces to worry about. This set is fun by itself, or you can buy several so the kids can stage large-scale Naboo battles. This set works great with other Lego sets that have battle droids, like the multi-troop transport. The design of this ship is innovative, and it is easy to put together. It stands upright on it's own, and with some smooth rounded pieces on its underside, it can "hover." The only thing left is for Lego to continue the theme with the Gungans and offer different sets of Gungan war machines and warriors. Currently, Lego offers one. That way, the kiddies can get some use out of all these battle droids. = Durability: This review is from: LEGO Star Wars Trade Federation AAT (7155) (Toy) Great building project and collector's toy. The ship took an hour for my seven year old to assemble. It did not come in its original box (ziplock bag with directions), but is used almost daily in imaginary play, and is cherished. |
