I never expected to love it myself! This train has everything....a waving santa, elves, and Christmas tree with lighted presents underneath. Plus you can make santa say Ho, Ho Ho. and Merry Christmas. The train can go backwards and it looks great with the lights turned off. The sound of the air in the brakes when it stops makes you think it really is real. This is a must for any Christmas tree. The set is easy to put together, has wonderful whisles and bells and "All Aboard" sound affects. If you have a train fan in your family you will not go wrong with this as a gift. This was my Christmas gift to me!! He watches all the action on the different cars and plays the bell, whistle, and "ho-ho-ho." The detailing on every piece is just beautiful. Even when we aren't playing with it we leave the lights on to add to our Christmas decorations. We are looking forward to adding a piece each year to keep it fun and exciting. The only thing that would make it better is steam coming from the engine. The smokestack actually looks like it should do something, so I went back and looked at the features to see if I had missed something that told me how to create the steam.
