I (like probably a lot of other people) thought the card had to be put up against or very close to the reader. I certainly wasn't aware that it could be read thru your back pocket and wallet!Some people think I'm being a little paranoid or overly cautious. The chances are probably remote that I would be a target for this kind of theft but all it takes is one time to make life miserable for you. To me, $27.00 is a very reasonable price to pay compared to the problems that would be caused if your credit or debit card info was stolen. My workplace has an RFID reader at the entrance to gain access. I put my access card in my leather wallet to see if it could be read thru the wallet.
